Delete your account and data
You can delete your SSH Ache account yourself, at any time, without asking us. This page explains how, and exactly what gets erased.
Option 1 — from the app (fastest)
- Open SSH Ache at sshache.com/app, or the mobile app.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm with your password. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
If you are the last owner of a team that still has other members, we will ask you to transfer ownership or delete that team first — otherwise deleting your account would destroy your colleagues' data along with your own.
Option 2 — by email
Email tanvirmahin24@gmail.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We will verify it is you and complete the deletion within 30 days, usually within a few days.
What is deleted
- Your account: email address, display name and password verifier.
- Your encryption identity: public keys and your encrypted private key.
- Every signed-in device and session, and all refresh tokens.
- Your personal vault, and any team where you are the only member — including every connection, secret, folder and version in it.
- Your team memberships, access grants and key wraps.
- Any pending invitations addressed to you.
What is kept, and for how long
- Encrypted backups — deleted records persist in our rolling backups until those expire, at most 30 days, after which they are destroyed. We do not restore deleted accounts from backups.
- Invoices and tax records — retained for as long as tax law requires. They contain your billing email and amounts, not your team content.
- Audit events in teams you shared with others — a team's security log belongs to that team, so entries recording your past actions remain in their log for the team's retention window. Your name is replaced by an anonymous identifier.
Deleting local data without deleting your account
Uninstalling the desktop or mobile app removes everything it stored on that device. In the mobile app you can also use Settings → Clear all data on this device, and in the web app you can revoke a single device from the device list. None of these touch your account — they only clear that one device.
