Terms of Service

Last updated 24 August 2026 · Effective 24 August 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Noor Ajmir Tanvir, a sole trader based in Bangladesh ("we", "us"). They govern your use of the SSH Ache desktop apps, the SSH Ache Teams mobile app, the website at sshache.com, and the SSH Ache Teams service (together, the "Service"). By installing an app, creating an account, or using the Service, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

1. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. If you are using the Service for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation, and "you" means both you and it.

2. What the Service is

SSH Ache is an SSH client. It runs on your own device and connects to servers you choose. Used on its own it needs no account and sends us nothing. SSH Ache Teams adds an optional hosted service for sharing connections with other people, end-to-end encrypted, plus audit, access control and billing.

We are not a party to what you do over SSH. Which servers you reach, and what you run on them, is entirely yours — and so is the responsibility for it.

3. Your account and your keys

  • Keep your credentials accurate, and keep your password, recovery code and devices secure. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
  • The Service is zero-knowledge by design. If you lose both your password and your recovery code, we cannot recover your data. Not "we won't" — the keys do not exist on our side. Store your recovery code somewhere you will still have it in a year.
  • Tell us promptly at tanvirmahin24@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Licence and editions

  • The community edition is open source under Apache-2.0. Those licence terms govern it, including for commercial use.
  • The SSH Ache Teams apps — desktop and mobile — are source-available under PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0: free for noncommercial use, with a separate paid commercial licence required for business use. Subject to that licence and these terms we grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable right to install and use the apps.
  • You may not remove proprietary notices, or use our name, logo or brand in a way that suggests we endorse you.
  • We retain all rights not expressly granted. You retain all rights in your own content.

5. Plans, seats and billing

  • Team Free — $0, up to 2 members in a team, up to 5 shared connections, 7-day audit retention.
  • Team Pro — $2 per member per month, with the first 2 members free, so a 5-person team pays $6 a month. Unlimited members and connections, 90-day audit retention.
  • Team Enterprise — $3 per member per month billed from the first seat, with a 10-seat minimum, typically annually.

Billing is by seat count and adjusts as members join or leave. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; cancel any time and the plan runs to the end of the paid period. Fees are not refundable except where the law requires it. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice, taking effect at your next renewal.

Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for all paid plans. Their terms and privacy policy apply to the payment itself, and they handle VAT and sales tax.

6. Your content

Your connections, secrets, team names and files are yours. You grant us only the narrow licence needed to host, transmit and back up that content so we can operate the Service — and for your secrets that means storing ciphertext we cannot read. You are responsible for having the right to store and share whatever you put in.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Connect to, scan, or attempt to access any system you are not authorised to access.
  • Break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or help anyone else do either.
  • Use the Service to distribute malware, send spam, run phishing, or launch attacks on third parties.
  • Use the relay or web terminal to proxy traffic to destinations outside your own infrastructure.
  • Interfere with the Service's security, evade rate limits, or attack other tenants' encryption.
  • Share one seat between several people, or otherwise evade seat-based billing.
  • Resell or white-label the Service without a written agreement.

Report abuse to tanvirmahin24@gmail.com. We may warn, suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules, and will act immediately where there is a risk to others.

8. App stores

If you install the mobile app from Google Play or the App Store, that store's terms also apply to the download. The store is not a party to this agreement, is not responsible for the app, and provides no warranty or support for it — those obligations are ours. On iOS, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

9. Availability and support

We work hard to keep the Service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability on Free or Pro plans. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of anything that materially reduces a paid plan. Enterprise service levels, if any, are agreed separately in writing.

10. Warranties

The Service and the apps are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or that its encryption is proof against every possible attack. The design has not yet been independently audited, and we say so plainly rather than implying otherwise.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, or loss of access caused by a lost password or recovery code. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these terms — including anything you do on the servers you connect to.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time; see deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, if your payment fails, or if keeping your account active would put other users at risk. On termination your right to use the Service ends; export anything you need first, because deletion follows the schedule in the Privacy Policy.

14. Privacy and data protection

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms. Where we process personal data on your team's behalf we do so as your processor; a data processing agreement is available on request for paid plans.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will update the date above and notify account holders by email at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and the courts of Bangladesh have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer, you keep the protections and the right to sue in the courts of the country where you live. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
